Chorus Lessons are starting up! What do students do in chorus lessons? Students work on range, breathing, dexterity, tone, vibrato development, falsetto, diction, and much more. We rehearse music from class and students are also responsible for preparing a sight singing example on solfege every session. These lessons have been incredibly beneficial to the students and to the overall sound of our choir.
Students track their vocal development throughout the year. Did you know that boys have six stages of voice change? Green is 6th grade which starts out on the left. Blue is 7th grade which is mostly in the middle. Red is 8th grade which has mostly made it's way toward the right, finishing their voice change process. Students can retest anytime to see where they are on the chart.
